MECHANICAL PLATING AND GALVANIZING
|
EXPERIENCE
and VANGUARD
The job of our company is normed by UNI 3740/6 Sez.
V now replaced from EN ISO 12683 and we make the treatment of Mechanical
Galvanizing and Mechanical Plating since 1987. … Every phase
of the process is executed according to the procedures of our Quality
System realized according to UNI EN ISO 9001-2000 and certifyed
by ICIM - EQNET with number 0121/4.
Our chemical-technological lab has modern apparatuses for: |
 |
-
control of thickness, according to UNI-ISO 3497 (FischerScope
X Ray)
-
salt spray fog test, according to UNI-ISO 9227 (Weiss Apparatus)
-
sulphurous fog test, according DIN 50018 (Kesternich Apparatus). For any trated lot we issue a test certificate.

We
are subcontractors of the most important European Automotive Companies,
with full satisfaction of our customers and our prices for Mechanical
Plated and Galvanized coatings are among the lowest in Europe.
Our
firm has achieved the widest experience in this field and remains
at disposal for further suggestions and for free samplings, as we
have got a special pilot plant.
THERE
ARE 7 GOOD REASONS IN ORDER TO USE MECHANICAL GALVANIZING AND MECHANICAL
PLATING: |
MECHANICAL GALVANIZING and PLATING satisfy all the quality standards of
relyability requested by the end-users (Automotive, Mechanical Industry,
Electrical works and Building) for the parts produced in high-tensile
steel. For its quality standards this process is accredited from
a great number of companies (Group Volkswagen- Ford-Opel-Renault,
ABB etc etc) and is also defined from national norms such as: 3740/6
UNI Sez. V. - NFA 91010-BSI 4921, all replaced by the european norm
EN ISO 12683 and by the U.S.A. norm ASTM B 695/00.

FREEDOM FROM HYDROGEN EMBRITTLEMENT!
Mechanical galvanizing and plating, differently from the electrolytic
treatment, does not not embrittle even the parts mostly subjected
to sollicitations. This is confirmed by a serious scientific study
of 3M Company on this subject, which is available by request. A
positive signal, therefore, explaining the reason why Mechanical
Galvanizing is necessary for most of manufacturers. |
RESISTANCE TO CORROSION
The resistance to corrosion together with an excellent adhesion,
makes Mechanical Plating and Galvanizing lasting even in the case
of coatings subjected to severe vibrations. This is the case of
fasteners and components of steel structures, bridges, lighting
apparatuses, shock-resistan barriers.

 |
THICKNESS
OF THE COATINGS OF MECHANICAL GALVANIZING
The control of the deposition in the process of mechanical
galvanizing has as a result a great uniformity of thickness and
moreover it is possible to apply coatings until 70/75 micron; therefore
we can talk about: Mechanical Galvanizing: coatings until 25 microns
and: Mechanical Plating: coatings from 25 to 70 microns.
|
EXCELLENT PROTECTION AGAINST CORROSION
Mechanical Plating and Galvanizing allow an excellent resistance
to corrosion, due to the complete protection of the part, often
to lower prices.
Mechanical
Galvanizing produces coatings made using fully sacrifical metals.

COATINGS
WITH MORE METALS
For particular uses can be applied to zinc coatings, zinc and aluminum,
mixed or in layers. There can be treated the following parts: bolts
for cars, washers, nails, hooks for padlocks, rings, nuts and many
other particulars.
Mechanical
plated or galvanized coatings may be treated with conventional chromates
and even with fluorocarbon paints (Xylan), which give the coating
an exceptional protection against corrosion (3000 hours in sal spray
fog test).
The
following materials can be treated: screws and bolts for cars, nuts,
washers, flat springs and Belleville washers, expansion clamps,
nails, hooks for padlocks, self-tapping screws, clamping rings,
fixtures for mountaineering and many others.
SPECIAL FINISHES
On
the coatings of mechanical galvanizing are generally applied various
finishes:
- chromic
conversion of the final layer with hexavalent chromium (we are
now eliminating it according to the directive EEC 2000/53)
- chromic Conversion of the final layer with trivalent chromium
- sealing
of the chromic conversions with organic coverings such as SEALERS. These
last finishes give to the coating a great resistance to the corrosion
in salt fog: until 400 hours and beyond without rusting.
- on bolts and nuts we apply additives for torque'n tension final control.
- to give more slip to our plating we can apply our product : "SLIP EFFECT AP"
